There’s a new angel in town! Today, Victoria’s Secret announced on Instagram that model Barbara Palvin has officially received her wings.
The 25-year-old Hungarian has been modeling since the tender age of 13. She was discovered in Budapest, and then relocated to Asia where her career began to take off. At 17, Palvin made her runway debut for Prada during Milan Fashion Week Fall 2010 season. She went on to walk for top luxury brands like Chanel, Miu Miu, and Vivienne Westwood and landed campaigns with H&M and Armani just to name a few.
By 2012, Palvin found herself walking one of the most coveted bookings in the world—the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. While she was absent from the show for years following her debut, she made her grand return in 2018 and now is the first Hungarian model to be crowned as an official Victoria’s Secret Angel.
“With Victoria’s Secret I became a woman. A very confident strong women. And that’s what they see when they look at me,” says Palvin.
The model has also garnered attention lately from her personal life and romantic relationship with actor Dylan Sprouse. The couple just recently relocated from Los Angeles to Brooklyn.
In the last two years the lingerie giant has lost two of their longtime Angels Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio,. Now, Palvin is joining the ranks alongside Candice Swanepoel, Behati Prinsloo, Lais Ribeiro, Martha Hunt, Elsa Hosk, Josephine Skriver, Jasmine Tookes, Taylor Hill, Stella Maxwell, Romee Strijd, Sara Sampaio and Lily Aldridge.
